Now booking Fall/Winter! Stay tuned…

Friends and comrades–Join us for our upcoming adventures!  We are playing at Landmark Center in St. Paul, our very own castle, over the lunch hour Thursday 7.25.   We’ll be bringing the bliss to Alma, Wisconsin’s gorgeous Big River Theater this weekend with Hannah Flowers and Danielle Enblom for an evening on a beautiful stage from 7:30-9.00.  We have been envisioning an ensemble performance for Shangri~La at Harmony Park on 9.1 midday… Look for us on Harriet Island at the Irish Fair of Minnesota: 8.8 Irish Fair Kickoff Party, 8.9 Family Ceili 7-10, 8.10 Pub Tent 1:30-2:00
8.11 River Stage 12:30-1:30 & Children’s Tent 3:00-3:40.  A few more local opportunities and always looking!  If you are interested in booking us for Summer/Fall events, please email booking@sistertreemusic.com and we’ll make arrangements!  Much to look forward to, hope we see you out and about!  Tell stories to your neighbors and strangers (to quote TMBG, *my distant kin, the lichen*) (yes, whisper to trees and rocks).  Listen to each other, create sacred space for those your life touches.  Take heart, Take root, and Reach out!

If you’ve not yet had a chance, visit sistertree.bandcamp.com to hear our debut/demo album, and come to a performance to pick up our newest album, Banish Misfortune!  These are available hand to hand or by mail (ping us on FB or send us a note), and digital distribution is available via email.  Hope to catch up with you soon!

ABOUT SISTERTREE

SisterTree renders radiant, expansive harmonies for strings and voices, and kick it back with old favorites and downright far-fetched selections grounded in Celtic and Americana Traditions.  Roving over the wild and storied landscapes of life, they envibe with the rhythms of sugarplums dropped in the forest.  From lilt to throttle, they are Gaia’s sirens atop the scrape of a mountain ridge, awash in an avalanche of symbiotic energies hauled up from the bones of earth to the starlight.

“Somewhere between the woad and the reels, I was dumbstruck by your collective good vibration. I think your sound is absolutely perfectly like the original folkies I used to hear when I was a pup!”  ~Martin Furey of The High Kings

  1. Hello Again Wonderful Women;

This is Tom from the Burned Down Cafe’ telling you that you & your music are wonderful.

I Love the CD but must give it to a friend. Another Female fiddler. She will also LOVE it. 1-715/209-1074

Please autograph 2 more for us here at the Burned Down Cafe’ and let me know how you would like me to pay for them. Is there just the one CD? If there are two CDs please autograph 2 of the second CD and put them onto the bill as well.

    1. Tom! Just saw this. There is only the one CD, and I’ll a couple more to Box 222. Probably the easiest way to pay for them would be to tip us out on sistertree.bandcamp.com. We’d be honored to come up and play again next season! What a blast–my kids loved every second on the island, as did we!

Thanks again for hosting, so proud of the results with the Enbridge EIS requirement. Playing at your place was definitely a highlight of our summer, and when we get busy with the next recording project, we’ll make sure you know about it 🙂 Hats off to you sir! Dee

  2. such beautiful voices & harmonies, amazing pregger guitar, oh, & barefoot fiddling is a slice of heaven! IrishFest was blessed by you! Thanks.

  3. Dee and Kerri, you were amazing last night. The people who attended our “Honoring the Ancestors” event just loved you and your music. We hope to have you back and support your wild work!
    Blessings of the dark nights,
    a savage daughter

  4. I was able to attend your performance at the Honor the Earth concert in Bemidji last week. Impressive! Listening to your CD now via Bandcamp, doubly impressed!

Most of your respondents praise your harmonies. Rightly so. Yet your musicianship is as admirable. And as an academic folklorist and 50 year fan of roots music, I amply respect your truth to the tradition. I know many renderings of The Cruel Sister, for example, and yours is the equal of any of them.

    Thank you!

  5. spending a week in Grand Marais was awesome enough, hearing you at the Gunflint Tavern was the icing on the cake!

    Thank you!

  6. I fell in love with you at the Shangri La, fireside sing along and totally enjoyed SisterTree’s joyful energy on the stage.

“All the Worlds our Stage and we are but mer players, performers, and portrayers….each a trusted guarding of whats inside their gilded cage.”

  7. Caught your set at the Potter’s Shed, very nice! Hey, do you like silly Irish quips and stories? Ahem; So, where I live, there’s a small pub on the main Street through town. Across from the pub is a dead end street that ends at a bridge where you have to park and continue on foot. On the other side of the bridge is a long path to a small log house occupied during the summer months by a gentleman from Ireland by the name of Whyte. He might tell you a story or three.
